Introducing UW Saskatoon: Guildhouse Zenithstrand

Welcome the newest member of the Underworld LARP family – Guildhouse Zenithstrand, located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan! From co-owner Dave Ashby:

“With great pride and a liberal amount of squee’ing, please welcome to the family, Underworld Saskatoon!

Our friends and family out in Saskatchewan have opened up a chapter of Underworld, starting in 2016. Bryce Robinson, Wesley Gunn, and Tammy Asuma are taking the reins as Guildmasters for our 8th Underworld LARP Guild. They all have an extensive amount of experience in larping, both from a player perspective and Shaping, and gaming in general. I’ve spoken with all three of them and I’m really excited to see this Guild grow into something epic.

So, without further ado… Underworld LARP Saskatoon: Guildhouse Zenithstrand!

Welcome to the family folks!

Hail Hydra”

Underworld LARP Jericho Presents: Making a Killing

“Life is not always a matter of holding good cards, but sometimes, playing a poor hand well.”

― Jack London

Citizens and visitors of Jericho,

The Empire of Berphaunt and Ruling body of this township formally invite you to a night of games, wagers, competitions, contests and performances. The recently completed Council’s Manor will be host to an evening of socializing while attempting to part you from your riches in an effort to raise funds for the reparations and sustaining of your new lands.

The Empire would also like to invite performers from among the citizens to show off their skills. Artists will be compensated for their efforts in entertaining the gathering for anywhere from Fifteen (15) to Thirty (30) minutes. A Notice will be posted where you may sign up for interviews and ask questions.

The Traveling bard group: Crows Most Fowl, will be in attendance to host three interactive theater experiences. These sessions will test your abilities to investigate and solve grievous murders. There will be rewards earned within each mystery, and a larger reward for the one who solves the murder. A fee of Five (5) Silver will be asked in order to purchase entry, and citizens are limited to attending one show only in order to allow everyone to enjoy. Each Mystery can facilitate 30 guests. If there are available spots, remaining tickets will be sold before each performance which will supersede the ‘one performance only’ restrictions.

Tickets will be sold at the beginning of the evening, along with a raffle ticket for beautiful donated prizes.

Each mystery will take approximately an hour to complete.

The details of each Mystery will need to be discovered by attending or sharing stories, but the themes are as follows, so you may choose which most appeals to you.

Mystery 1 – High Society.
Participants will play the part of nobility and upper class.

Mystery 2 – Animal Kingdom.
Participants will play the part of Animals, but more tame. . . we hope.

Mystery 3 – Green Skins.
Participants will play the part of Orcs, Goblins, Ogres and Kobolds.

We look forward to your presence.

Post-Homesick Follow-Up

Father Nikolai had a clever plan.

He thought he could harness the High Winter Ornamental Titans and strike a blow against Jericho; a persistent thorn in his side.

He thought he could unravel your spirits, take your souls, undo the creation of Ticker and Tocker.

Jericho proved once again his plans were naught but folly.

Those of you who wish, may spend your evening in the Great Library of High Winter Town. At some point, the library fades and you find yourself in Jericho (or whichever town you live in).

The warmth of High Winter lingers in your hearts (if you wish it) throughout winter.

In the days that follow, tradesfolk, soldiers and farmers all tell how the children claim to have had the most amazing dream. They describe how the children dreamed of the adventurers of Jericho in a great library.

3 2 1 lay on.
