latchkey children

Do you hear the children laughing?

Do you hear the children crying?

Do you feel the shadow’s passing, as the prisoners toil and tinker in the darkness? Silently moving among you fixed firmly to your heels. The feeling you are not alone when no one else is by you. The expectation that the mirror will wink while you stare through the windows of your own souls, to find yourselves wanting. We know what stirs within you, our agents are among you to feed us all your secrets. Each of us given gifts along with our early pardons and paroles.

Did you make new friends? Have you built your homes and put all your little soldiers in a row? Don’t talk out of turn. Don’t play with tinder sticks. Don’t raise legions of undead or summon demons. It is not but flippant disregard that motivates you to cling to your politics. A small token of comfort and familiarity as reality peels around your happy town. You continue to churn the waters of your own discontent while the pressing threat robs your children from their beds. Do not berate yourselves over it, there was no way you could have stopped it.

As you forget the promises of your past, we remind you that you have no future. Like the children you have lost, you are fledglings yourselves. Celebrating tiny victories given far more weight than is warranted. None of it will change a thing when you haven’t the power to put us back in that cage. The more you try, the more we will take. Rebuild the town, rebuild your politics, rebuild your lives, and rebuild the prison. None of it will matter when you lack the key to turn the lock.

On the world stage, great powers engage in wars for their futures. Closer to home, the prisoners have stepped up their game and taken all the children of Crucible and Jericho. At this time, if the children of Antioch are missing as well, there is no news of it. Local farmers are beside themselves with concern and kicking themselves for not paying more attention to the warnings. Some refuse to believe the children’s imaginary friend is the culprit, and still blame the Dark Elves.

Are the shadows growing longer as the sun rises and sets, or is it all just in your minds? Do you hear the sounds of children laughing in the early and late hours of the day, only to see nothing?

Join us for Guildhouse Jericho’s second weekend event of the season! Our shapers are more familiar with the site, which means we can give you more of what you want. Insta-mods will be out and about, be sure to read them very carefully! We intend to have more outhouses this time around as well. We suggest that you invest in a whistle for if you wander off and lose track of where you are. If you hear a whistle, go in game and retrieve your fellow player, we will not use them for hooking mods, we promise.

With more familiarity, an ever growing player cast, and a full weekend under our belts this coming event promises much more in the way of action, adventure and RP. Come along Latchkey Children, come out and play!
